A downloadable game

EleSage gameplay on the bench: two switches are wired to one hall light, and the lamp lights.

A cozy game about building real circuits. Clients bring problems to your workshop. You wire the parts on a bench and switch it on, and a circuit simulator shows what happens: the lamp lights, the fuse blows, or the LED burns out. It teaches you electronics from zero.

From one lamp to a whole house: 1 lamp in the first job, 2 switches for one hall light, 1 motor on the scope, 1 panel for a whole house, and 33 boards made in the lab.

Can I play it? Not yet. It is in development. EleSage is a desktop browser game with no release date. A browser demo is planned. Get updates at elesage.com.

A real simulator: current, voltage and heat in every part. Clients write in: 47 jobs across five career tiers. Troubleshooting: 8 jobs where something is broken. The electronics lab: 33 client boards. Starts from zero: 43 short lessons and a handbook page for every part. A workshop cat that sits on whatever runs hot.

Nothing is scripted. The simulator solves the circuit you actually built: mains at 120 V and 60 Hz, heat in every part, fuses and breakers that trip on real curves, and motors with inertia and stall. Clip the bench’s oscilloscope across a motor and the trace you see is worked out from your circuit.

Two ways to see a circuit: the same house wired on the bench, and drawn as a schematic.

The lab: draw the schematic in Copperleaf, lay out the board and route the tracks, then the board house makes it and you power it up.

In the lab, a client’s circuit becomes a printed circuit board. Draw it in Copperleaf, the lab’s design program, lay it out and check it against the design rules. QuickTurn PCB, the lab’s board house, makes it, and the client’s test runs on the board as you designed it.

In the game so far, as of 14 October 2026: 47 workshop jobs, 8 troubleshooting jobs, 33 client boards, 96 parts and 43 lessons from zero, across electrical work, analog electronics and power electronics.
